Hello I ‘m so excited you came by Doggie Treasures 4U.  Allow me to introduce myself…

My name is Trixie and I am an 8 year old Border Collie/Black Labrador mix. I live with my human partner Karen in the Louisiana area.

We are inseparable for many reasons, but the main one is because it is my job to be close by.  You see, Karen, my human partner, is in a wheelchair and I was specially trained to assist her any way I can to stay active and independent.  In other words, I am an official Service Dog. They say I’m so smart – well in fact I know over 80 different commands, cool huh?

One of our favorite things to do together is visit people who are in hospitals, nursing homes, rehabs, etc. to bring smiles to their faces.  This makes me a double duty dog.. meaning Service Dog and Therapy Dog.  It is no secret my tail is waggin the entire time. 

We also go to water aerobics 2 or 3 times a week too. That is an excellent exercise for Karen and naturally, I take the opportunity to get a power nap in, with one eye open all the time of course.
